Taking In A Quakes Game
taking in a quakes game
It's been a while since I've gone to a Quakes game. I tend to make an effort to go to Dodgers games every year and also have gone to some Angels games. You see I'm from a mixed family. Our family has a mixture of Angels and Dodgers fans. My wife is an Angels fans, but honestly does not watch a lot of baseball. I am a Dodgers fan and will tend to go to Dodgers games more often. But right in our backyard is the Quakes stadium and I get reminded of this every time there are fireworks or when one of the big leaguers go down to rehab an injury.
I had a few friends in town this past weekend and we decided to take in a Quakes game. It was a really good time. On this day Justin Turner was rehabbing a leg injury and was there to get some live batting in. It's a great experience. It's easy to get in and out of, plenty of parking, and the stadium is well maintained. For $14 bucks you can sit right behind the plate. It's amazing to see the speed at which they play. Great excuse to be outside and if you're a baseball fan, it's quality seats and pretty good baseball.
That's our view from behind the plate. Needless to say I'm grateful I had friends in from out of town to remind me of the little gem we have here in our home town. I would recommend it. I hear there is a bark at the park night also. Will have to bring our dog Stella out... when she's done napping lol
