Homes with this color sell for $5,400 more

If you're thinking of re-painting or re-modeling your bathroom, it might be a good idea to keep in mind re-sale value when making your decisions. Whether you're thinking of selling soon or not, it's good to be aware of what colors might impact the value of your home. According to Zillow's 2017 paint color analysis study, certain colors added thousands of dollars to the value of the home while other colors actually reduced value by thousands.

So here are the findings:

Powder blue or Periwinkle bathrooms sold on average of $5,400 more. For the exterior of the house, Griege homes sold for $3,496 more than homes with a different color. For the front doors, homes with dark navy blue or slate gray sold for an extra $1,514.

Here are some traits that detracted from value. 

Being too style-specific, or too personalized. Terracotta walls showed a $2,301 drop in value. Surprisingly no color at all, with white walls sold for $4,035 less! Check out the diagram below for some more tips, and keep this in mind when doing your next remodel.
